For those of you who are new, I live in a small town in Georgia called Locust Grove (35 miles south of Atlanta) with my husband and miniature Schnauzer – Chase. My children are grown and have children of their own. My daughter lives in Ohio and my son lives in Idaho, so I don’t see them real often. One thing is nice, we can Skype.
I started stamping back in early 2000 and have never tired of it. I have crafted ever since I can remember, but I have stuck with this the longest. I have posted a couple of pictures of my stamping studio that my husband built for me and most afternoons after my chores you will find me there.
As you can see I have some great artwork on my walls and on my shelves from other members of OSA that I truly treasure.
I have always loved oriental art because of its serenity and I feel lucky to have joined this group. My first interest of stamping came from the Carol Duvall show and it took off from there. I have lots of stamps and supplies – don’t even want to think of the money I have spent. Better than therapy right (lol)?
When I look back at some of the first artwork I created, it certainly shows that I have improved over the years. I belong to a local stamp club with 9 other ladies – lots of fun. My online groups seem to be growing – Teabag folding, an ATC group, and several small groups – love the challenges. If I get stuck, between all the magazines I have and the blogs, there is always inspiration.
My other passions are cooking and reading. I have added a link to some of my older oriental cards in my Photobucket. I need to keep adding more, but if you want, you can take a look.
