June 2015: Lori Reinholz

Hi OSA Friends,

I am so excited and honored to be here with you. I am a child of Jesus, a wife, Mother of 2 grown sons and grandmother to 2 girls and 2 boys. One son and his family live in California and the other with his family live in Arizona. Since they are so far away, I don’t get to see them often.

Some of you may remember me, but I am sure that a lot of new people may not, so we will spend a little time together so you can know me a little better. So do whatever you do to get comfy and come along on my journey.

I started stamping in the beginning of 1990, when my sweet Mother-in-law bought me my first stamp with my name on it.

I went to my first stamp convention in Pigeon Forge Tennessee and had more fund in that one weekend than any one time in my life. Classes, friends, all nighters, shopping in Gatlinburg at the Mountain Mall.

My love for Asian art has been with me since I was a teenager. I got married at the age of 17 and my husband was in the army and was shipped off to Korea, right after we were married. He was there for 7 months. With gifts and teaching me some of the language and customs, I fell in love with the culture.

I found OSA and joined in February 2002. I have had so many wonderful friends and played in so many swaps, games, sharing tips. I love OSA and the many friends I have made here.

My tips were published in VSN numerous times and Nancy published a full page article that I did on The Stamp House.

My husband and I just bought our very first house and will be here as owners 1 year in January. With the move, most of my stamps and supplies are still in boxes. Since everything changed and the rooms in the new house are much smaller, we could not see how I could use one of the rooms for my creating. My stuff just would not fit. So to solve this problem, I went and leased a 10 x 20 storage building to use for my space. Here is a picture of it.

I can’t share pictures of the inside yet, as it is a mess and mostly still packed except for what I have ravaged out of boxes. I wish it could look like Sandy’s craft room (May’s SAM).

I love to read, cook, stamp and take care of my hubby and 4 boxers. I have dabbled in different techniques, very little scrap booking and a little bit of sewing, cross stitch over the years. My favorite color is green and I love to play Mahjong.  I would have to say my first love though is books! I love going to other places with the characters in the books and the ability to learn something new. I never get tired of learning, whether it is a new technique, card fold or anything in life.

I feel so honored to be chosen….Thank you!

Congratulations, Lori. You are going to love your new space. Moving is a real pain, but you get to start all over and arrange everything the way you like it. And when you can’t find something you are looking for, blame it on the move! Good to see you back in the group – and especially nice to see you in the spotlight for this month. Enjoy it!

Thanks bunches Bonnie. Glad to be back in the game! Between Health issues, losing Mom, e-mail issues and buying our very first home, life has been a real challenge the last few years. The finding things is a real issue. I could not find my washi paper for the life of me, so I ordered a bunch from Annette. Well…guess what? I found it! I now have a nice collection of washi paper! LOL!

As far as arranging things the way I want it…..want to come & help? All volunteers welcome! :))

    Hugs Lori
