February 2015: Bokeh

This month’s technique challenge idea was given to me by two wonderful OSA ladies, Connie Smith and Shaz in Oz.  It’s called Bokeh.

For this month we are going to play with the Bokeh technique.  All you need is:

Water color paints
Paint Brush
Paper Towel
Daubber
Stamp for your image and words
Ink for your stamp
White pigment ink to go on your daubber
Acetate left over from something you received – punch different sized circles out on it – you will be sponging through them

If you don’t know what Bokeh is, then in a nutshell it has to do with using water and paint on your paper followed with images sponged over the paint to form bubbles in your background.  Here are some videos of the technique that you should enjoy:

This technique gives a 3-D effect to your card and really looks great.  So please have fun making this month’s Technique Challenge.
