September 2015: Using Bleach On Your Card

I’ve been looking at a lot of videos lately and came across a few that are using the bleach technique on their card.  Now some people use bleach on their stamp and stamp the image in bleach and quickly clean their stamp so the bleach won’t damage it. But that’s not what we are going to do here.  This is a “do not harm your stamps” challenge.

Instead, what you are going to do is stamp your image with Versamark Clear on a dark colored card stock (can be any dark color), emboss the image in whatever color embossing powder you wish to use to set up a rim so your bleach stays inside that rim.  Heat set the embossing powder.  You’ll take a paint brush or Q-tip or a water brush (make one for bleach only) and paint the area on your card that you want lighter.  Dab off any extra bleach to stop the process.

You will be amazed at the results.  Here are some videos for you to see how these people did it and what beautiful results they have:

Now go out there and have fun with this month’s technique.
